PROBLEM
The rate of coral bleaching is higher than ever before, and it is causing the loss of ocean reef ecosystems. Most people think the sole cause of this is global warming and thus do not take into consideration the masses of chemicals entering the ocean every year, due to sunscreen.
INSIGHT
Coral Gardeners aim to restore coral reefs by planting and growing coral in the sea. They also raise awareness about how the death of coral reefs effects all our daily lives.
Island Tribe manufactures and sells sunscreen that is reef safe, it contains no chemicals that are harmful to coral reefs.
SOLUTION
A collaborative campaign between Coral Gardeners and Island Tribe that aims to encourage viewers to adopt a coral, buy reef safe sunscreen and or just raise awareness on the topic of coral bleaching. Raising money to put towards restoring coral reefs and making reef safe sunscreen the 'norm'.

Featured in the last print edition of the ZigZag surf magazine, the article poster will represent the campaign and the movement towards protecting the coral reefs. While perfectly reaching the campaigns target audience, as they are already reading a surf magazine.

The Instagram carousel will further explain the detrimental effects of chemical based sunscreen on the ocean ecosystems.

The Instagram reel will serve as an educative tool, ensuring viewers understand the vital role reefs play in the world wide ecosystems. While also encouraging them to get involved via a call to action - 'adopt a coral'.
